The tongue probe or end of stroke stop is a necessary element in automatic feeding installations. It is used (attached to the contactor) so that the gearmotor stops when the feed fills the last hopper. By means of a very sensitive tongue, the contact of the feed weight triggers a micro-switch that performs the automatic stop.
