Denitrification plant

NITRIFICATION - DENITRIFICATION (N-DN) consists of a separation of fractions at 250 or 80 microns depending on the type of slurry and the physiological state of the animals. The solid fraction, with a high nitrogen load, is managed by composting. And the resulting liquid fraction will be dosed to the nitrification-denitrification bacterial culture, which will be located in a bioreactor with a HRT of about 20 days. This reactor will have timed mechanical homogenization and aeration and must meet the following stages in each “batch” of the SBR type process (“Sequencing Batch Reactor”):

-Liquid fraction input

-Denitrification

-Nitrification

-Decantation or sedimentation.

-Sludge purge and effluent output
